Remaining in the Present Moment

Remaining in the Present Moment is an experiential programme developed through an artistic research process that began in 2012. Its main themes are the present moment, communication and intuition. The research explores the role of creation in our interactions with other people, using body movement and words as basic elements of communication. The purpose of the programme is to understand and motivate the individual, as a unit, to create on a daily basis.

Description

The programme explores different aspects of ourselves and different ways of approaching the present moment by deconstructing communication.

Through a guided journey, participants explore body movement and words as the key components of communication. The workshops create the conditions for new forms of interaction, opening space for shared present moments and new ways of relating to themselves and to others.

Through the workshops, participants experience the transformative power of a state of trance, where playfulness, communication and intuition become one.

The programme aims to understand and mobilise the individual to create on a daily basis, strengthening awareness, connection and the experience of the present moment.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will:

  • Recognise the value of intuition and develop the ability to listen to it.
  • Recognise and explore different aspects of themselves through creative methods and creation.
  • Develop awareness of the present moment through play, movement and creative interaction.
  • Explore communication through words, movement and creative practice.
  • Discover how play, intuition and communication can support new ways of interacting and creating.
